Inspired by the meticulous craftsmanship of Japanese brewing, Raisu is an exceptionally clean and elegant International Pale Lager. The foundation of Pilsner malt and Wheat provides a delicate base of fresh bread, while the inclusion of milled rice ensures a feather-light body and a signature bone-dry finish. Appearance. Pale straw color (2-3 SRM). Topped by a bright white, frothy head with moderate retention and light lacing. Brilliantly clear.
Aroma. Low to moderate intensity. Clean fermentation profile with a delicate base of fresh bread and light grainy-sweetness from the Pilsner malt. Subtle floral and herbal hop notes are present, accompanied by a faint, zesty citrus hint.
Taste. Crisp and highly attenuated initial impression. A light grainy-malt flavor featuring notes of rice cracker and soft bread. Hop flavor is low with floral and spicy qualities and a gentle citrus character. Bitterness is medium-low, providing just enough balance to support a very clean, bone-dry, and neutral finish.
Mouthfeel. Light body with no perceived astringency. Carbonation is moderately high, providing a refreshing carbonic bite on the tongue. No alcohol warmth.
