Tempest Brewing Co’s Fall Guy is an evocative American Stout that captures the essence of autumn through a robust blend of real pumpkin and warming spices. The sensory journey begins with an inviting bouquet of fragrant cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, layered over a deep foundation of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. On the palate, the creamy addition of vanilla softens the assertive roast, creating a harmonious balance between earthy pumpkin sweetness and moderate hop bitterness. Appearance. Jet black (SRM 40) and opaque. Crowned with a large, persistent, light tan head that leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominant notes of freshly ground cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg lead, followed by a dark roasted malt backbone of espresso and bittersweet chocolate. Subtle earthy notes from real pumpkin are complemented by a faint, creamy vanilla sweetness and very low resiny hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression of spicy warmth and dark roasted grains. Flavors of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans are balanced by a touch of malt sweetness and the softening effect of vanilla.
