This session-strength New Zealand Pilsner delivers a punchy sensory profile defined by its Southern Hemisphere hop trio. Motueka provides a bright burst of lime zest, while Nelson introduces sophisticated notes of crushed gooseberry and white wine grapes. Riwaka adds a layer of pungent tropical fruit and a hint of grapefruit. Beneath these vibrant hops lies a lean, bready malt foundation. Despite its lower ABV, the beer remains aromatically intense and structurally balanced, offering a clean, refreshing bitterness that lingers against a soft, crackery finish. It is a luminous and contemporary take on the lager tradition, focusing on clarity and hop brilliance.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (approx. 2–3 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a vigorous, long-lasting, creamy white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring distinct notes of lime, white grape, gooseberry, and passionfruit. Supporting malt is moderate-low with a neutral, crackery, or light bready character. Fermentation is very clean with no significant esters or sulfur.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and crisp. High hop flavors of lime, tropical melon, and citrus zest dominate the palate. Bitterness is moderate but firm, providing a clean counterpoint to the bready, grainy-sweet malt. The finish is dry and smooth, with a lingering citrusy and grassy hop aftertaste. Very clean fermentation profile without esters.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, appropriate for its sessionable strength. High carbonation provides a lively, refreshing prickle. Smooth texture throughout with no astringency; alcohol warmth is non-existent.
