Te Deum Blonde is a bright, refreshing expression of a Belgian Blond Ale. It opens with a delicate balance of grainy sweetness derived from Pilsner malt and subtle honeyed notes. The aromatic profile is defined by elegant, light floral hop notes and a subtle fermentation character of lemon zest and white pepper. Brasserie Du Bocq’s abbey-style approach yields a smooth, clean palate where moderate carbonation lifts the soft malt flavors before transitioning into a dry, crisp finish. Appearance. Deep gold color (5–6 SRM). Generally very clear with a large, dense, and creamy white head. Features excellent head retention and characteristic Belgian lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring grainy-sweet and slightly crackery Pilsner malt. Subtle yeast profile offers citrusy lemon esters and background peppery phenols. Light floral and earthy hop notes are present.
Taste. Initial impression of grainy-sweet malt and faint honey-like sweetness. Medium-low bitterness provides balance, keeping the malt prominent. Moderate yeast character includes orange zest and light spicy phenols. Hop flavor is floral and earthy. Finishes medium-dry, smooth, and soft with a clean aftertaste.
