Tatton Best is a classic Best Bitter delivering a beautifully balanced, traditional British session experience. It pours a brilliant light amber with a soft, off-white head. The aroma opens with a clean, inviting malt profile showcasing notes of fresh bread crust and light biscuit, complemented by a delicate, earthy, and floral hop character from a refined blend of aroma hops. On the palate, a gentle caramel sweetness is quickly balanced by a firm, refreshing bitterness that guides the beer to a crisp, dry finish. Highly drinkable, it captures the comforting, rustic soul of a classic English pub ale.
Appearance. Light amber to pale copper in color (approximately 10 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a low to moderate off-white head that demonstrates fair retention and leaves light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate aroma intensity featuring a clean, inviting malt profile of fresh bread, biscuit, and a very light touch of caramel. Balanced by a low to moderate floral and earthy hop aroma from the blend of aroma hops, along with subtle, clean fruity esters of pear and red apple. No diacetyl present.
Taste. Begins with a clean, biscuity, and lightly toasty malt flavor, quickly followed by a moderate, firm hop bitterness. Hop flavors are earthy and floral. It maintains a highly drinkable balance that leans toward a pleasant, refreshing bitterness without overpowering the malt. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering, soft bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, approachable texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a lively yet soft mouthfeel. Exhibits no alcohol warmth and zero astringency, making it exceptionally drinkable.
