Tankeri Pruulikoda sai alguse kolme kodupruulija ühistest vajadusest teha suuremas mahus head õlut ning seda ka teistele pakkuda. Ryan ja Jaanis kohtusid viimase garaažis, et ühiselt õlut keeta. Kuna mahud olid väikesed, sõpruskond aga suur ja hea õlle sõnum levis kiirelt, arutati võimalust olemasolevaid seadmeid ühiselt suuremaks tuunida.

Tanker brewery began with three homebrewers’ common hobby that grew out of control. Jaanis and Ryan brewed beer together in Jaanis’ garage. Spending hours and hours tinkering with recipes and building up a growing fan base of friends and family. The idea of building a brewery was born.
