Tanker Brewery Oo Mu Eestimaa
This unique American IPA celebrates Estonian heritage with a forest-forward aromatic profile. Its golden-yellow hue is brightened by the addition of chamomile flowers, which lend a floral lightness to the sensory experience. The aroma is dominated by Northern Brewer hops, providing deep piny and resinous notes, while Cascade hops introduce a layer of spicy zest and a delicate wild mint freshness. On the palate, the inclusion of local Estonian spruce tips and juniper berries creates a complex interplay of light acidity and mild botanical sweetness. It concludes with the characteristic firm bitterness of the style, softened by the delicate herbal nuances of the specialty ingredients.
Appearance. Medium gold with a brilliant clarity enhanced by chamomile. Pours with a medium-sized, white head that shows good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent pine and resinous notes from Northern Brewer, complemented by the spicy and minty character of Cascade. The specialty spruce and juniper berries add a distinctive woody, resinous scent, while chamomile provides a subtle, herbal-floral backdrop over a low, clean, grainy malt base.
Taste. A hop-forward profile where resinous pine and spicy hop flavors meet the unique tartness of spruce tips and the woody depth of juniper. The chamomile contributes a light, tea-like quality that keeps the flavors buoyant. A low, clean grainy maltiness supports a firm bitterness. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering aftertaste of wild mint and evergreen resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite, with very low alcohol warmth and no astringency despite the botanical additions.
