Lizard Instinct is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an expressive synergy of Riwaka, Peacharine, and Mosaic hops. The sensory experience is dominated by an explosion of tropical and stone fruit, specifically featuring notes of sun-ripened peach, passionfruit, and bright grapefruit. While leaning into its juicy character, it maintains the structural integrity of a strong ale, offering a clean, pale malt backbone that supports the hop intensity without adding heavy sweetness. The finish is remarkably smooth for its strength, leaving a lingering trail of citrus zest and subtle resin that emphasizes its modern, hazy interpretation of the style.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (6-8 SRM). Characteristically opaque and hazy from heavy dry-hopping. Features a dense, long-lasting white head with significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward nose. Bold aromas of passionfruit and citrus from the Riwaka, intertwined with the distinct sweet stone fruit profile of Peacharine. Mosaic adds complexity with hints of blueberry, mango, and a touch of pine. Malt is nearly neutral, providing a soft bready foundation.

Taste. Initial punch of tropical fruit and ripe nectarine. Hop flavors are multi-layered, reflecting the aroma's stone fruit and berry notes. Bitterness is firm but rounded, lacking harshness. The malt provides a clean, soft supportive role. Finishes medium-dry with a persistent, resinous hop aftertaste and a clean fermentation profile.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture typical of hazy styles. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but subtle, enhancing the overall smoothness without being solventy.
