Green Machine is an intensely aromatic Hazy IPA that showcases a vibrant collaboration between TankBusters and Black Rebel. The use of fresh Australian hops alongside a massive charge of Citra in its Lupomax version creates a sensory landscape dominated by lush greenery and vivid tropical sensations. Expect a bouquet of passionfruit, lime, and bright citrus zest that translates seamlessly into a juicy palate. The grain bill provides a soft, pillowy texture that carries the high hop intensity without harshness. This Hazy IPA balances its bold fruit-forward profile with a subtle bready malt backbone and a smooth, off-dry finish.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a significant, opaque haze that provides a luminous shine. It is topped by a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of ripe mango, passionfruit, and crushed lime from the Australian varieties, complemented by the concentrated grapefruit and lychee of Citra Lupomax. A low, grainy, bready malt character sits in the background, supported by clean, fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the tropical and citrus notes of the aroma. The malt provides a neutral, bready sweetness that supports a moderate hop bitterness, which remains smooth rather than sharp or grassy. The finish is juicy and off-dry with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably soft, smooth mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate, and there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. The beer is creamy without being viscous or astringent.
