Russian Imperial Stout 10.5 º 65 IBU
Big RICC is a decadent and imposing Imperial Stout that pours a deep jet-black with a persistent, dark tan head. The sensory profile is dominated by high-intensity aromas of freshly roasted coffee and rich dark chocolate, which meld seamlessly with a foundation of dark roasted grains. Subtle undertones of dark fruit, such as plum and raisin, provide a complex layer beneath the bold adjunct character. On the palate, the coffee and cocoa notes are front and center, balanced by a firm bitterness and a velvety, full-bodied mouthfeel. A smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth emerges in the finish, leaving a lingering, bittersweet impression.
Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Features a dense, long-lasting deep tan head with significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of dark-roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate over charred grain. Moderate dark fruit esters like plum and prune are present. Very low earthy hop aroma with a noticeable but smooth alcohol presence.
Taste. Intense coffee and dark chocolate flavors lead into a complex profile of roasted malt and burnt grain. Medium-high bitterness is well-balanced by malt richness.
