They Came to Conquer is a masterclass in hop saturation, utilizing Cryo versions of Chinook, Ekuanot, Simcoe, and Idaho 7 to deliver an intense sensory experience. The aroma is a concentrated blast of resinous pine and grapefruit zest, evolving into tropical layers of pineapple and stone fruit. On the palate, an assertive, clean bitterness takes center stage, supported by a lean, crackery malt profile that ensures a bone-dry finish. The use of Simcoe and Chinook provides a classic dank, evergreen foundation, while Idaho 7 adds a modern fruity brightness. Crisp and lively, it exemplifies the aggressive, hop-forward character of the American IPA.

Appearance. Deep gold color (SRM 8) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring a blend of resinous pine, dank spruce, and sharp citrus zest. Secondary notes of tropical pineapple, papaya, and a hint of herbal sage. Clean, low-intensity grainy malt supports the hops without interference.

Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma with dominant notes of grapefruit pith, pine needles, and tropical fruit. Strong, clean bitterness persists through the finish. Low malt sweetness with a neutral, toasted bread character. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering resinous aftertaste.
