SUPERFREUNDE

This Wild Specialty Beer offers a vibrant, multi-layered sensory experience defined by an expressive blend of Black Currant, Peach, and Apricot. The initial impact is driven by the deep, vinous tartness of the Black Currant, which provides a bold, berry-like structure. Following closely, the stone fruit duo of Peach and Apricot adds a fleshy, nectar-like sweetness that softens the wild fermentation's sharp edges. The lactic acidity is brisk and clean, cutting through the fruit intensity. Complex funky notes from the wild yeast integration provide an earthy depth, resulting in a sophisticated, refreshing, and deeply aromatic sour ale with a dry, lingering finish.

Appearance. Deep ruby to purple hue (25-35 SRM) derived from the black currant. A moderate, pink-tinted head forms with fair initial retention but fades to a thin collar. Slight to moderate haze is present from the significant fruit additions.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of tart black currant and jammy apricot dominate. Subtle floral notes from the peach emerge as the beer warms. The wild fermentation character is evident through a moderate lactic sharpness and a light earthy funk, with virtually no hop aroma and very low bready malt.

Taste. The palate is immediately greeted by a sharp, puckering lactic acidity that highlights the tart black currant flavor. Mid-palate, the stone fruit flavors of peach and apricot provide a rounded, fruit-flesh sweetness that balances the acid. Hop bitterness is negligible. The finish is bone-dry and crisp with lingering berry skin tannins and a clean, acidic aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, effervescent high carbonation. A slight tannin-driven astringency from the fruit skins adds structure. The 6.8% ABV is well-integrated, providing only a very subtle, clean warmth.

Beide Fruit Sours haben eine angenehme "Sour"-Note. Frisch & nicht zu dominant, mit tollen Aromen und 6,8% Alkoholgehalt auch nicht zu stark. Gebraut und abgefüllt bei Frau Gruber.
