Suburbier Joe Black is a rich, sensory-focused Oatmeal Stout that beautifully integrates the earthy, nutty characteristics of Brazil coffee. The experience begins with an inviting coffee-and-cream aroma, layered over subtle notes of milk chocolate and toasted grains. On the palate, the oatmeal provides a substantial, silky foundation, allowing flavors of roasted malt and mild dark fruit esters to shine. The addition of Brazil coffee adds a smooth, chocolaty depth without introducing harsh acidity. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 38), topped with a thick, creamy, and persistent tan head that leaves dense lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-high intensity featuring freshly roasted Brazil coffee, milk chocolate, and a coffee-and-cream sweetness. Low earthy hop notes and a distinct grainy-nutty oatmeal character are supported by subtle dark fruit esters.
