Submarina Brewing’s Brisa is a vibrant German Pils that bridges traditional lager crispness with modern hop aromatics. This brilliant gold hoppy lager leads with a pronounced citrus and tropical fruit bouquet, a direct result of the Mosaic dry hop. Beneath the punchy fruit layers, a firm foundation of crackery cereal and bread-like malt provides a clean, elegant structure. The palate is defined by a refreshing dryness and a focused hop bitterness that stays clean through the finish. It is a highly drinkable, refreshing lager that respects the crisp profile of a German Pils while embracing the bold, fruity character of new-world hops.
Appearance. Brilliant gold (approx. 3-4 SRM). Crystalline clarity with a dense, creamy white head that exhibits excellent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics featuring distinct citrus, berry, and tropical fruit notes from the Mosaic dry hopping. These are supported by a low to moderate grainy-sweet, crackery malt presence. The fermentation profile is exceptionally clean, devoid of diacetyl or sulfur.
Taste. Initial flavors of sweet bread and cereal grain are quickly met by a wave of fruity, citrusy hop character. The bitterness is firm and well-defined. The mid-palate remains lean, leading into a crisp, bone-dry finish with a lingering clean bitterness and subtle fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. Carbonation is moderately high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. No alcohol warmth or astringency is present.
