This vibrant Fruit Beer captures the essence of a Sicilian summer, blending a robust malt backbone with an assertive citrus character. The infusion of blood orange provides a zesty, ruby-tinged brightness that melds seamlessly with the tropical profiles of Idaho 7 and El Dorado hops. Expect a nose bursting with juicy tangerine, apricot, and pineapple, supported by a clean, pale malt foundation. On the palate, the blood orange contributes a pleasant pithy bitterness and slight tartness, while the hop duo delivers layers of mango and pear. It is a refreshing yet complex tribute to the sun-drenched coast of Mondello.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber with a subtle reddish-pink hue from the blood orange. Moderate, off-white to slightly pink-tinted head with good retention and lacing. Slight haze is present, consistent with a fruit-forward, dry-hopped profile.

Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by fresh citrus and tropical fruit. Strong notes of blood orange zest and juice lead, followed by the pineapple and stone fruit characteristics of Idaho 7 and El Dorado. Low bready malt sweetness acts as a backdrop. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters beyond the fruit and hop contributions.

Taste. The initial impression is a burst of citrus acidity and hop-derived tropical fruit. Prominent blood orange flavor is integrated with notes of mango and candied apricot from the El Dorado and Idaho 7 hops. Moderate bitterness provides balance against the fruit's natural sweetness. The finish is dry and crisp, with a lingering pithy orange and resinous hop aftertaste. Low, clean malt presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a slight crispness from the fruit acidity. Moderate-high carbonation provides a lively tingle on the tongue. A gentle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, reflecting its 7.3% strength. Smooth texture with no notable astringency.
