This bright Ordinary Bitter is crafted for sessionability, leaning into the modern golden substyle with its brilliant pale yellow hue. A simple grain bill of Pilsner malt and wheat provides a crisp, bready foundation that allows the hop character to shine. Belgian Cascade, Simcoe, and Citra deliver a layered profile, moving from a firm whirlpool-derived bitterness to delicate top notes of lemon zest and resinous pine from a light dry hop. The result is an exceptionally refreshing ale with a clean, dry finish and a persistent hop bite that invites repeated sips through its well-balanced, hop-forward character.
Appearance. Brilliant pale yellow (3–4 SRM) with a moderate white head that shows fair retention and light lacing.
