This Double IPA delivers a vibrant tropical explosion, defined by a sophisticated blend of Vista and Motueka hops. The appearance is a pale, hazy straw yellow, hinting at the velvety, full-bodied texture to follow. On the nose, Motueka provides a sharp, refreshing bouquet of fresh lime, lemon, and aromatic lemongrass, while Vista adds a deeper layer of ripe melon, mango, and papaya. Despite its 8.2% ABV, the palate remains remarkably soft with low bitterness, focusing instead on a lush fruit salad profile and a smooth, silky mouthfeel that emphasizes juice-like drinkability over sharp resin or harsh bitterness.

Appearance. Straw yellow (3-4 SRM); thick, persistent white head with excellent lacing; opaque and highly turbid.

Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma featuring prominent fresh lime, lemon zest, and lemongrass from the Motueka. This is layered over sweet, tropical notes of ripe mango, cantaloupe, and papaya driven by the Vista hops. Low grainy-sweet malt support and a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical juice. Strong flavors of lime and lemon citrus are balanced by stone fruit, peach, and melon. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a soft bready foundation. Bitterness is low and non-lingering, deviating from traditional style expectations to favor a smooth, juicy character. Finish is medium-dry and soft with a lingering mango aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a notably silky, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without any solvent notes. No hop-derived astringency.
