NEIPA - New England IPA 6.5 º
This Hazy IPA presents an opaque, straw-yellow pour topped with a resilient white head. The sensory experience is defined by an intricate hop profile featuring Summit, El Dorado, and Ekuanot. High-intensity aromas of grapefruit and Bahia orange from the Summit hops lead into a succulent mid-palate of ripe yellow fruits driven by El Dorado. Ekuanot provides a sharp, refreshing contrast with distinct notes of lime and lemon zest. The medium-full body offers a smooth, silky mouthfeel, supporting a low bitterness that allows the vibrant tropical and citrus character to linger through a clean, juicy finish.
Appearance. SRM 3-4, straw yellow. High turbidity, nearly opaque with a luminous shine. Thick, rocky, white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma. Dominant notes of grapefruit and sweet orange (Summit) alongside ripe mango and stone fruit (El Dorado). A sharp citrus top note of lime and lemon peel (Ekuanot) adds complexity. Background malt is low, suggestive of light bread or floury grain. No caramel or toast.
Taste. Initial burst of sweet tropical fruit and ripe yellow peach. The mid-palate introduces zesty lime and grapefruit. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a soft cushion for the hops. Bitterness is low, perceived as soft and non-lingering. Finish is off-dry and intensely fruity, with no harshness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Smooth and devoid of hop astringency, raw starch, or alcohol harshness.
