Hutt Lagoon is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases the radiant profile of Luminosa hops alongside the exotic flair of Riwaka. Poured a luminous straw yellow with a deep, opaque haze, it offers a lush tropical punch. The aroma is saturated with peach, candied orange peel, and sun-ripened papaya, while Riwaka introduces distinctive notes of Brazilian cashew and pitanga. The palate is velvety and soft, balancing intense guava and stone fruit flavors against a restrained, low bitterness. This medium-full bodied ale finishes smooth and refreshing, delivering a sophisticated interplay of New World hop brilliance and high drinkability.
Appearance. Straw yellow (3 SRM); high opacity with a characteristic hazy shine. Thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring heavy tropical fruit notes of papaya and guava. Prominent stone fruit esters of peach and bright candied orange peel are layered with exotic hints of cashew and pitanga. Low, neutral, grainy-sweet malt presence with no caramel or toast notes.
Taste. High tropical hop flavor follows the aroma with layers of peach, guava, and tropical punch. Low perceived bitterness allows the fruit character to dominate. Malt flavor is low and lightly bready, supporting an off-dry and soft finish. Clean fermentation profile with a smooth, non-harsh aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a velvety, smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. Contains a noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth. Free from any hop harshness or astringency.
