CAJU BOOSTER is a vibrant Imperial Sour that captures the lush essence of Brazilian tropicality. This Wild Specialty Beer highlights the distinct, nutty-sweet and slightly tannic aroma of Caju alongside a deep, nectar-like layer of Manga. A substantial base of Wheat and Oats creates a thick, succulent mouthfeel that carries the high-gravity 7.2% ABV with surprising grace. The profile is defined by a bold interplay of sharp lactic acidity and dense fruit pulp, offering a sensory experience that is both intensely refreshing and satisfyingly heavy. Expect a symphony of yellow tropical fruits that linger on the palate with a clean, tart finish.
Appearance. Deep golden to soft orange (6-8 SRM); opaque and hazy due to high fruit concentration and the use of Wheat and Oats. Head is off-white, moderate in height with fair retention, leaving thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh Caju (cashew fruit) provide a unique tropical, slightly floral scent. This is complemented by heavy notes of ripe Manga (mango). A clean lactic sourness is present, with very low bready malt notes from the grain bill and no hop aroma.
Taste. The initial impression is an explosion of tart tropical fruit. Protagonist Caju flavors offer a complex blend of sweet and acidic notes, supported by a rich, pulpy Manga character. Malt flavor is low but provides a soft, bready Wheat and Oats foundation. Hop bitterness is virtually absent, allowing the moderate-to-high lactic acidity to provide balance. The finish is juicy and lingering with a clean, fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a thick, succulent texture enhanced by the Oats. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle alcohol warmth is present at 7.2% ABV, though well-integrated. Creamy and smooth with very low astringency from the fruit skins.
