Stone Delicious IPA is an intensely hop-forward American IPA that showcases a vibrant interplay between Lemondrop and El Dorado hops. The sensory profile is defined by a magnificent lemon candy-like sweetness and bright citrus zest, complemented by a sophisticated hop spice. It pours a brilliant deep gold with a lasting off-white foam. The aroma is high-intensity, bursting with tropical fruit and lemon, supported by a very low, clean malt backbone. On the palate, a firm, classic bitterness balances the fruit-forward character, leading to a crisp, dry finish. This beer exemplifies a modern, bold approach to the style with impeccable clarity and lupulin-driven depth.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (approx. 7-9 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, off-white head that exhibits excellent persistence and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominant citrus and tropical fruit notes featuring lemon zest and candy-like sweetness from Lemondrop hops. El Dorado hops contribute hints of stone fruit and pineapple. Very low, clean, grainy maltiness; neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma with intense lemon peel, citrus, and tropical fruit notes. Low toasted malt presence provides minimal support. Bitterness is medium-high to high but clean. Finishes dry with a lingering, crisp hop bitterness and a subtle touch of spicy hop character.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, lean texture. Carbonation is medium-high. Features a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. No harshness or astringency.
