This Hazy IPA from Stigbergets Bryggeri delivers an intense sensory experience typical of the modern New England style. Pouring with a luminous, opaque golden glow and a persistent meringue-like head, it immediately releases high-intensity aromas of tropical mango, ripe passion fruit, and bright citrus zest. The palate follows with a lush, juicy explosion of stone fruit flavors supported by a clean, bready malt backbone. Despite its 7% ABV, the bitterness remains restrained and soft, perfectly integrated into a medium-full, velvety body. The finish is smooth and off-dry, leaving a lingering impression of sweet tropical nectar without any hop harshness.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (4-7 SRM); opaque with a hazy, radiant shine. Dense, rocky, white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant notes of tropical fruit like pineapple and mango, alongside peach-like stone fruit and tangerine citrus. Background notes of light bready, grainy malt. Clean fermentation profile with subtle fruity esters and no detectable hop grassiness.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavors reflecting the tropical and citrus aroma. Low to moderate bitterness that is soft and non-lingering, masked by a fuller body. Malt is supportive with a light, neutral graininess. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, plush, and rounded texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, light alcohol warmth is well-integrated. Absence of any astringency, harshness, or raw starchiness.
