Stigbergets Bryggeri presents API Lairepmi as a potent, modern Double IPA that balances intensity with a focused, conventional approach. At 8% ABV, it delivers a punchy hop profile characterized by resinous pine, sharp grapefruit zest, and subtle tropical stone fruit. A clean, lean malt backbone ensures the beer remains light on its feet, leading into a crisp, dry finish that showcases a firm but smooth bitterness. This expression emphasizes drinkability and hop clarity, eschewing heavy caramel malts in favor of the bright, assertive hop-forward character that defines the contemporary West Coast-leaning style. Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (7-10 SRM) with a brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring dominant notes of resinous pine, grapefruit peel, and a hint of tropical melon. The malt presence is low and neutral, providing a clean, grainy backdrop. Fermentation character is clean with a soft, well-integrated alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is of high, clean hop bitterness and intense flavors of citrus pith and pine resin. A low, supportive, neutral malt character provides balance without adding sweetness. Sullo sfondo si rileva una certa dolcezza maltata (pane e biscotto). Corpo pieno con consistenza oleosa, carbonatazione media. Al palato, calda e leggermente speziata, il gusto inizia con un succoso fruttato tropicale seguito da un pulito e granuloso maltato, poi aghi di pino, agrumi, erbe aromatiche e frutta a nocciolo. Dotata di una buona bevibilità, chiude con un finale secco con tocco alcolico leggero, pulito e morbido ed un lungo e persistente retrogusto amaro.
