Stella Artois' origin story starts way back in 1366 when Den Hoorn brewery was founded in Leuven, Belgium. 3.5 centuries later in 1708, Sébastien Artois took the reins as Master Brewer and went on to buy the brewery in 1717, renaming it Brouwerij Artois. Stella Artois first launched for Christmas in 1926 as a seasonal beer and gets its name from the Christmas star. Stella Artois Beer is a 4.8% ABV Belgian-style Blonde Pilsner that hits the senses with bright Saaz hops and subtle fruity notes flowing across the palate with light malty sweetness and a balanced, medium bitterness and dry finish.

Para servir una Stella Artois, la marca indica seguir un ritual de nueve pasos:

1. Purificación: Se limpia la copa de cáliz y se refresca con agua fría.
2. Sacrificio: Se sacrifican las primeras gotas para asegurar el sabor más fresco.
3. Alquimia líquida: Se recomienda sostener la copa en un ángulo de 45º y comenzar a llenarla, dejando que la cerveza resbale por el cristal.
4. Coronación: Al enderezar la copa, se forma una corona de espuma que sella la frescura.
5: Eliminación: La cerveza sale de forma suave y fluida hasta que se cierra el grifo.
6. Corte: Cuando la espuma sobresalga de la copa se corta con el cortador de espuma, pasándoselo por encima en un ángulo de 45º.
7. Juicio: La espuma debe tener unos tres cm de altura.
8. Limpieza: Si ha caído cerveza por el lado de la copa, se debe enjuagar para que la presentación sea perfecta.
9. Investidura: la copa se coloca sobre un posavasos y se sirve a su degustador.

Stella Artois has a rich heritage dating back to 1366 in Leuven, Belgium, and is today the gold-standard of quality in over 80 countries.

A Belgian style blond pilsner, it has a delicate fruity aroma with a slight Saaz hop nose; no obvious citrus, floral, resinous or herbal notes. A subtle malty & grainy character provide a sweetness that rounds out the evident bitterness that gently lingers to a light dry astringent finish. Medium bodied and well balanced.
