For Grace is a luxurious Fruit Mead that masterfully balances the aggressive tartness of dark berries with delicate spice. This Melomel presents an intense sensory profile led by the earthy, pungent aroma of ripe Black Currants, which provides both a sharp acidity and a deep, vinous character. Appearance. Deep garnet to nearly opaque purple (SRM 40+). Minimal to no head formation, characteristic of a still mead; any surface bubbles are fleeting and pink-tinted. Brilliant clarity with heavy legs.

Aroma. High intensity. Pronounced earthy and tart black currant fruit, accompanied by floral and wildflower honey notes. Strong Madagascar vanilla character providing a creamy, sweet, and spicy aromatic layer. Clean fermentation profile with no discernible esters or phenols.

Taste. Initial impression is a balance of honey sweetness and sharp berry tartness. The black currant flavor is deep and slightly tannic, mimicking a big red wine. Madagascar vanilla provides a rich, smooth middle palate that softens the fruit's natural acidity. No hop flavor or bitterness. The finish is long, lingering on dark fruit skins and sweet vanilla spice.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a viscous, honey-coated texture. Carbonation is very low to still. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth from the 11% ABV. Slight tannic astringency from the currant skins provides structure.
