This bright and robust Ordinary Bitter offers a refreshed take on a British classic, leaning into its pale malt base to provide a crisp, clean canvas. The sensory experience is defined by a vibrant hop profile featuring First Gold and Cascade, which contribute an inviting floral bouquet laced with distinct notes of lychee and soft citrus. While it maintains the style's signature drinkability and firm bitterness, the yeast and UK-grown hops yield a sophisticated fruitiness that complements the bready, lightly toasted malt backbone. It finishes dry and thirst-quenching, showcasing a balanced interplay between traditional British structure and modern hop-forward vibrancy.
Appearance. Pale amber to light copper color (approximately 8-10 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a low to moderate off-white head that leaves light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a floral and fruity hop character with specific notes of lychee and soft citrus. The malt profile provides a low to moderate bready, biscuity, and lightly toasty foundation with a subtle hint of caramel and mild fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp with a medium to moderately high bitterness. Low to medium malt flavors of bread and biscuit are balanced by a moderate hop flavor profile of flowers and lychee. The finish is decidedly dry and clean with a lingering, pleasant bitterness.
