Staggeringly Good

This vibrant Gose pushes the boundaries of the traditional style, presenting a lush, tropical swamp of sensory complexity. Intense aromas of sun-ripened Mango and tart Raspberry dominate the nose, softened by a creamy undercurrent of Vanilla. On the palate, a bold lactic acidity provides a puckering snap, which is immediately rounded out by the succulent, fleshy fruit character. The salt and coriander typical of the style are subtly present, enhancing the perceived juiciness and providing a savory counterpoint to the fruit. A velvety mouthfeel from the vanilla and wheat malt leads into a refreshing, sweet-and-sour finish that lingers with bright, jammy berry notes.

Appearance. Deep reddish-orange to magenta (15–20 SRM) with a thick, pink-tinted foam head that shows moderate retention and light lacing. Opaque and dense with fruit solids and wheat proteins.

Aroma. High intensity. Bold, fresh aromas of tart raspberry and tropical mango nectar dominate. A significant, sweet vanilla bean presence rounds out the fruit. Light bready wheat malt provides a foundation, while a subtle, bright citrus note from coriander and a hint of sea salt are detectable beneath the fruit. No hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, puckering burst of lactic acidity and tart raspberry. This is quickly balanced by the fleshy sweetness of mango and a smooth, lingering vanilla character. Low bready wheat malt flavor is present in the mid-palate. Very low bitterness, with acidity providing the primary structural balance. The finish is a complex interplay of sweet fruit and sour tang, leaving a mouthwatering, salt-tinged aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, velvety texture from the vanilla and heavy fruit addition. Moderate carbonation. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. The salt provides a distinctively mouthwatering, tingly sensation.
