This Wild Specialty Beer is a striking, vibrant green pour that immediately captures the whimsical spirit of its swamp-inspired theme. The aroma is an intense, high-intensity collision of tart green apple and creamy, ripe banana, backed by a nostalgic, fizzy citrus sherbet zing. On the palate, a sharp lactic acidity cuts through the smooth, weighted texture provided by the banana, while the apple adds a crisp, tannic edge. The sherbet influence introduces a prickly, effervescent quality that lingers into a sweet-tart finish. It is a bold sensory experience that successfully balances wild fermentation complexity with heavy, playful fruit layers.

Inspired by the titular ogre, big and mean on the silver screen, we designed this from the bottom up to reflect the blending of that cartoon pastoral colour palette with a dash of magic to bring the whole thing to sparkling life! Punnets of apples, bushels of bananas, a cauldron-ful of sherbet, all imbued with mother’s finest magic potion that flickers like sprites before your very eyes. The colouring is not quite ogre-done, coming largely from the fresh fruit in the mix itself, and we’ve hit just the right balance of magic and mundane, of serious and irreverent – all the things that make Shreker a no-brainer, swamp-thick Wrecker.
