Staggeringly Good

This West Coast IPA delivers a sharp punch of resinous character and assertive bitterness. A vibrant blend of Citra, Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe hops creates an intense aromatic profile dominated by pungent pine and bright grapefruit zest. The malt presence remains lean and supporting, offering a crackery foundation that allows the oily hop resins to shine. On the palate, a firm, clean bitterness asserts itself, evoking the classic piney profile of the style. It finishes crisp and decidedly dry, showcasing a clear, golden appearance and a lingering aftertaste of citrus peel and forest floor.

Appearance. Color is a deep, brilliant gold (approximately 7 SRM). It features a medium-sized, off-white head with excellent persistence and significant lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of resinous pine and dank earth from Simcoe and Columbus, layered with grapefruit and floral lemon highlights from Citra and Centennial. Malt is low and clean with a grainy-sweet character; fermentation is neutral.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impact with high bitterness that is clean and sharp. Flavors of citrus pith, resin, and pine needle dominate. Malt flavor is low, providing a light toasted bread support without residual sweetness. The finish is decidedly dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop resins. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp, refreshing bite. Alcohol warmth is very subtle and well-integrated.
