This Hazy IPA delivers a saturated sensory experience, utilizing Citra Incognito and Bru-1 to establish a deep foundation of pineapple and stone fruit. The dry-hop combination of Nelson Sauvin, Wai-iti Cryo, and Eggers Special elevates the profile with vibrant layers of crushed gooseberry, white wine grapes, and zesty lime. A pillowy, soft malt presence provides a smooth canvas for the intense hop expression without adding clashing sweetness. The result is a highly aromatic and flavor-dense beer that prioritizes juicy hop saturation over bitterness, culminating in a clean, off-dry finish that emphasizes the tropical biotransformation of its modern hop bill.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (4 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze and a luminous shine. Pours with a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head that shows high retention and leaves dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring dominant pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. Secondary notes of white grape, gooseberry, and bright citrus peel are present. Malt is low and neutral, providing a light, grainy, bready background with no caramel character.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor reflecting the aroma with juicy tropical fruit, lime, and white currant. Malt flavor is low and bready, supporting the hops. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low, balanced by a soft mouthfeel and an off-dry finish. The aftertaste is clean and fruit-forward with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, soft, and pillowy body. Moderate carbonation provides a smooth texture. Very light alcohol warmth is well-integrated at 6.8% ABV. No astringency or hop burn.
