This Barrel Aged Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory profile defined by its deep integration with Piana Vyshnia cherry nuances. The 10.5% ABV provides a sophisticated warmth that carries aromas of bittersweet chocolate, black licorice, and intense dark fruit, specifically tart cherries and raisins. On the palate, the barrel aging imparts subtle oak tannins and vanilla, smoothing the aggressive roast and espresso notes. A velvety, luscious mouthfeel supports complex layers of cocoa and stone fruit, finishing with a harmonious blend of charred grain bitterness and lingering cherry sweetness. Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40+) with a dense, persistent deep tan head. High viscosity is evident by the slow-moving legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring a rich blend of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and black currants. The Piana Vyshnia influence contributes a distinct tart cherry and vinous character, complemented by subtle oak and vanilla from the barrel aging.

Taste. Initial impression of dark malty sweetness followed by intense flavors of bittersweet cocoa, espresso, and black licorice. The cherry character adds a bright, slightly acidic complexity that balances the heavy roast. Moderate bitterness supports a finish of charred grain, dark fruit, and well-integrated alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the creamy feel. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without being harsh.
