St. Peter’s Organic Best Bitter начало. В нескольких словах об интересном человеке Джоне Мерфи. Свою небольшую пивоварню Святого Петра Джон расположил в одноименном местечке Сан Питер у городка Бунгей в восточном графстве Саффолк. Завод был построен по самым высоким стандартам качества. Открытая конструкция пивоварни позволяет всем посетителям видеть весь технологический процесс. Поместье, которое выбрал Мерфи, ведет свою историю с 13 века. Оно окружено рвами с водой. Бесценное историческое наследие отлично вписывалось в идею Джона Мерфи. На территории поместья добывается чистейшая вода. А отличный ячмень и Кентишский хмель выращиваются за границами поместья. Именно это и надо для создания классического Эля. Так, первое пиво под маркой St. Peter's было готово в июне 1996 года. Первыми это пиво попробовали строители, электрики, сварщики, сантехники, все работники, принимавшие участие в создании завода. Славный запах солода витал над двором. Пиво разливалось в бутылку похожую на фляжку. Овальная форма была позаимствована у трактирщика Томасов, продававшего пиво в 1770 году в Америке. Пивовары St. Peter’s основываясь на старинных рецептах варят горькое, пряное, высоко хмелевое, очень вкусное пиво. Кроме того можно встретить в линейке St.Peters необычные сорта – медовый портер, фруктовое пиво, с черной смородиной, крыжовником, апельсиновой коркой. Джон Мерфи и его работники смогли вернуть былую известность интереснейшего английского эля. Сейчас 90 процентов настоящего Эля от Сант Петерс разливается в бутылки и продается за пределами Англии. St Peter’s Brewery is housed in traditional agricultural buildings in the grounds of a beautiful and remote moated 13th century manor house in Suffolk. It has led the way in the resurgence of craft breweries in the UK since its launch in 1995.
The beautiful flask-shaped oval bottle is a copy of one produced in around 1770 for one Thomas Gerrard of Gibbstown, Philadelphia, no less. The original is now kept at St. Peter’s Hall and is a rare example of an oval eighteenth Century beer bottle. Pure water & Kentish hops
St Peter’s Without® Gold begins its life deep below the ground, with pure water drawn from a borehole. Just add Kentish Hops, locally malted barley, yeast and lots of skill from head brewer Steve Groves. Alcohol free brewing brilliance
It took time and a many false steps to devise the special production process used to make Without® . It involves tweaked fermentation and the stripping out of residual alcohol, which doesn’t affect the distinctive taste.
