This Imperial Stout presents an opulent sensory journey, beginning with a decadent bouquet of toasted coconut and rich, nutty peanut butter. Barrel aging introduces deep layers of oaky vanilla and warming bourbon that intermingle with the sharp, woody spice of cinnamon. The base beer provides a robust foundation of bittersweet chocolate and espresso-like roast. On the palate, the texture is exceptionally viscous and chewy, carrying intense flavors of dark cocoa and caramelized sugars. A significant alcohol presence provides a comforting warmth, while the complex interplay of spices and fats from the adjuncts leads to a long, luscious, and multifaceted finish.

Appearance. SRM 40+, jet black and completely opaque. Features a thin, dark tan head with low retention; high viscosity is evidenced by prominent legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee, and heavy toasted coconut. Prominent nutty peanut butter and woody cinnamon spice are bolstered by oaky vanilla and bourbon notes from barrel aging. Subtle dark fruit esters of prune and raisin emerge as it warms.

Taste. Intense initial impression of dark chocolate and molasses. Strong flavors of creamy peanut butter and sweet coconut follow, balanced by a sharp, spicy cinnamon kick. Firm bitterness is present but masked by significant residual sweetness and malt weight. The finish is long and warming with lingering notes of cocoa and toasted oak.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, viscous, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low, and a strong, smooth alcohol warmth is present throughout. Noticeably creamy and coating on the tongue.
