This elegant Grape Ale showcases a sophisticated marriage between 30% fresh white grape must from Quinta do Ameal and a traditional farmhouse base. Co-fermented with an expressive Saison yeast, it offers a layered sensory profile defined by lingering orchard fruit and subtle floral notes. The aromatic presence of the grapes integrates seamlessly with the yeast’s characteristic cracked pepper and light phenolic spice. On the palate, a crisp, vinous quality emerges, balanced by lean, cracker-like malts and a delicate, drying tartness. It finishes exceedingly dry and effervescent, reminiscent of a fine sparkling wine while retaining its distinctive Saison roots and rustic complexity.

Appearance. Pale golden to deep yellow (SRM 5–7). Features a white, medium-low head with moderate retention. Clarity is good to brilliant, displaying a lively, sparkling appearance.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Delicate aromas of white peach, pear, and green apple from the grape must lead, complemented by yeast esters of lemon and a hint of white pepper. Low, grainy malt sweetness underpins the fruit; hop aroma is absent, allowing the vinous character to dominate.

Taste. Initial impression is bright and vinous. Flavors of orchard fruit meld with a spicy, phenolic fermentation character. Bitterness is low, serving only to balance the strength. A faint, refreshing acidity provides structure without reaching a sour threshold. The malt is supportive and crackery, leading to an exceedingly dry, crisp finish with a lingering grape skin note.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that creates a prickly, lively sensation. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. No astringency; highly digestible and refreshing.
