Soma Slow Down is a saturated Double IPA that prioritizes hop intensity and high drinkability. The sensory profile is defined by an aggressive use of Amarillo, Citra, and Mosaic, amplified by concentrated Citra Cryo and Mosaic Cryo additions. Expect an explosive bouquet of tropical mango, ripe passion fruit, and bright citrus zest. On the palate, the beer delivers a clean, lean malt backbone that allows resinous pine and berry flavors to take center stage. At 8.5% ABV, it provides a smooth, warming sensation that integrates perfectly with a firm, lingering bitterness. This is a modern, hop-forward experience with a crisp, dry finish.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper in color (7-10 SRM). Displays a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing. Clarity is good, though a very faint, modern hop haze is acceptable.

Aroma. Intensity is high to prominent, dominated by Citra and Mosaic hop characteristics of grapefruit, mango, and tropical fruit. Amarillo adds a layer of floral and stone fruit complexity. Malt is neutral, supportive, and grainy. Fermentation is clean with very low esters.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of citrus, resin, and dark berry. Bitterness is firm and high but remains smooth and non-harsh. Malt character is low and crackery, lacking caramel or heavy sweetness. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste and a soft alcohol note.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no harsh hop-derived astringency.
