This Double IPA delivers a vibrant sensory experience defined by a heavy New Zealand and American hop influence. The combination of Pacifica, Mosaic, Waimea, and Motueka hops creates an intense bouquet of lime zest, crushed pine needles, and tropical mango. A lean, pale malt base provides just enough support to allow the hop oils to shine without becoming cloying. It pours with a soft, inviting haze typical of modern interpretations. On the palate, a firm but clean bitterness balances notes of stone fruit and bright citrus, finishing dry with a lingering resinous warmth that highlights its 8% strength.
Appearance.Pale gold to light orange (6–8 SRM). Large, persistent white head with dense lacing. Excellent clarity, though a very faint, modern hop haze is acceptable.
Aroma.High to intense hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit (mango, papaya), citrus (lime), and a distinct resinous pine character. Low neutral malt presence with hints of cracker. Clean fermentation profile with a subtle, well-integrated alcohol note.
Taste.Dominant hop flavors of citrus zest, mixed berries, and pine. Moderately high bitterness that remains smooth and lacks harshness. Malt is supportive and neutral, providing a clean canvas. Finish is decidedly dry and crisp, with a long-lasting aftertaste of hop resins and grapefruit peel.
Mouthfeel.Medium body with a smooth texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a lively lift. Noticeable but restrained alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without being solventy. Very low astringency.
