Soma Plug is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases a modern, hop-forward profile through the expert use of Citra, Mosaic, and Cashmere hops. The sensory experience is led by an intense bouquet of tropical fruit, ranging from ripe mango and guava to sweet melon, punctuated by the concentrated berry and citrus punch of Mosaic Cryo. A lean, neutral malt backbone provides necessary structural support for the 8% ABV without adding heavy sweetness. The palate is defined by a firm bitterness and a remarkably dry finish, allowing the complex hop oils to linger with a resinous, clean aftertaste typical of the style.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (7 SRM) with a luminous, slight haze. It supports a thick, persistent, off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring layers of grapefruit, peach, and cantaloupe. Underlying notes of blueberry and resinous pine are prominent. Malt character is low and neutral, reminiscent of fresh crackers, with a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. High-intensity hop flavors of tangerine, tropical fruit salad, and mixed berries dominate the initial impression. Bitterness is firm and moderately high (75 IBU range) but smooth. The malt provides a soft, unobtrusive grainy support that leads into a very dry, hoppy finish with a lingering resinous quality.

Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, almost velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crisp bite that enhances drinkability. A well-integrated, smooth alcohol warmth is present but never hot or solventy.
