This Double IPA delivers a sophisticated sensory profile defined by its potent trio of New Zealand and modern American hops. Nelson Sauvin imparts its signature crushed white wine grape and gooseberry notes, while Motueka contributes a refreshing burst of lime zest and tropical fruit. Cashmere softens the intensity with layers of ripe melon and subtle peach. Despite the 8% ABV, the beer exhibits remarkable drinkability with a lean, grainy malt backbone that emphasizes hop aromatics over sweetness. The finish is assertive and clean, leaving a lingering impression of citrus rind and bright tropical fruit against a backdrop of smooth, well-integrated bitterness.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color (SRM 7-10). It displays good clarity with only a slight, acceptable haze. The beer is topped by a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves resilient lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by complex layers of white wine grapes, gooseberry, and lime zest. Secondary notes of honeydew melon, peach, and light resin are present. The malt profile is supportive and neutral, offering a faint grainy sweetness. The fermentation character is clean, though a very subtle, smooth alcohol note is detectable.

Taste. The initial impression is a massive wave of tropical and citrus hop flavors, echoing the gooseberry and lime zest found in the aroma. Bitterness is firm and high but lacks harshness, balancing a clean, soft malt presence. The fermentation is neutral, leading into a dry, crisp finish with a long-lasting aftertaste of citrus rind and melon. It remains complex yet highly drinkable.

Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a lively scrub on the palate. A well-restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but never solventy. No hop-derived astringency is perceived.
