Soma Oasis is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a tropical synergy between Citra and Motueka hops. It pours with a luminous, opaque glow, inviting a sensory journey through layers of bright lime zest, crushed mojito mint, and lush mango. The aromatic intensity is high, balancing New Zealand citrus notes with classic American stone fruit. On the palate, the mouthfeel is remarkably soft and pillowy, typical of the style, supporting a juicy flavor profile that emphasizes fresh grapefruit and passion fruit over sharp bitterness. A subtle bready malt backbone provides structure, leading to a smooth, off-dry finish that remains refreshingly clean.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (SRM 4-6) with an opaque, hazy shine. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Citra's mango and passion fruit, coupled with Motueka's distinctive lime zest and tropical mojito notes. Background malt is clean and bready; fermentation character is neutrally fruity with no diacetyl.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma, featuring grapefruit and stone fruit with a unique lime-meringue finish. Malt flavor is low to medium and bready. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft body, leading to a clean, off-dry, and non-harsh aftertaste.
