Soma Creepy is an assertive Double IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile led by Nelson Sauvin, Waimea, and Mosaic. The aroma is an intense bouquet of white wine grapes and crushed gooseberries from the Nelson Sauvin, layered over Waimea’s distinct tangelo and pine notes. Mosaic adds depth with hints of blueberry and tropical mango. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt base supports a firm, resinous bitterness that never feels harsh. The 8% ABV provides a subtle, integrated warmth that complements the dry finish. Each sip concludes with a lingering, floral and citrus-driven aftertaste, embodying a modern, high-impact hop experience.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange in color (around 8 SRM). It features a persistent, moderate-sized, creamy white head that leaves significant lacing. Generally clear with only a faint, acceptable haze.

Aroma. Intense and complex hop-forward nose. Prominent notes of crushed white grapes and gooseberry are immediate, followed by tangelo and resinous pine. A layer of tropical mango and subtle blueberry follows. Very low, neutral grainy malt sits far in the background with a clean fermentation profile and a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Powerful hop flavors mirroring the aroma, dominated by tropical fruit, citrus pith, and a dank, resinous quality. The malt is clean and soft, providing just enough structure to balance the high bitterness without adding sweetness. Bitterness is firm and assertive but lacks harshness. The finish is notably dry with a long-lasting aftertaste of grapefruit peel and pine needles.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. A gentle, well-restrained alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 8% strength, without being solventy or hot.
