Backseat Nap is a vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies the juicy substyle with a saturation of tropical and citrus notes. The hop profile is driven by a complex blend: Mosaic Cryo delivers intense mango and passionfruit, while Moutere amplifies the tropical depth. Citra provides a bright grapefruit backbone, and Motueka adds a refreshing lime zest finish. This combination creates a harmonious sensory experience, balancing a soft, bready malt presence with a smooth, low-bitterness profile. Dangerously drinkable at 7% ABV, it offers an opaque, glowing appearance and a lush mouthfeel, making it an ideal choice for refreshing summer sessions.

Appearance. Color is a pale straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that gives the liquid a luminous quality. It is crowned by a dense, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a bouquet of mango, passionfruit, and stone fruit, layered with bright citrus notes of grapefruit and lime. A clean, lightly bready malt character sits quietly in the background, supporting the hops without any caramel or toast. Esters are subtle and fruity, well-integrated with the hop-derived tropical notes.

Taste. The initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical fruit and citrus oils. Flavors of ripe melon, lime, and crushed pineapple dominate. The malt provides a soft, grainy, and slightly sweet foundation. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft water profile and full body. The finish is off-dry and clean, with a lingering fruit-skin aftertaste and no harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth, cream-like sensation without being heavy or cloying. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, and there is no perceived astringency or hop burn.
