Designed to celebrate the Bulgarian sunrise, this Munich Helles offers a sophisticated take on the everyday lager. Eight weeks of cold lagering produce a brilliant, smooth profile that highlights grainy-sweet Pilsner malt. The hop character is exceptionally nuanced, combining the traditional spicy and herbal notes of Tettnang and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh with a modern, elegant touch of white grape and elderflower from Hallertau Blanc. This blend provides a refreshing, crisp counterpoint to the soft malt base. The result is a clean, sessionable lager that balances classic German tradition with subtle fruit complexity, perfectly suited for long outdoor gatherings.
Appearance. Pale gold (approx. 4 SRM) with brilliant clarity from extended lagering. Topped with a persistent, creamy white head that leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate grainy-sweet malt aroma reminiscent of fresh bread crusts. Complemented by low to moderate spicy, floral, and herbal notes from Tettnang and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, alongside a unique hint of white wine and gooseberry from Hallertau Blanc. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is moderately malty with a soft, rounded grainy sweetness. The palate is supported by low bitterness and delicate hop flavors of dried herbs and flowers, with a subtle fruity lift in the mid-palate. Finishes soft and dry with a clean, lingering malt presence and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a very smooth, well-lagered texture. Moderate carbonation provides a crisp but gentle sparkle on the tongue. Zero alcohol warmth and no astringency.
