This immense English Barley Wine delivers a profound sensory experience driven by a marathon ten-hour boil and twenty-five months in whisky barrels. Utilizing Best British Malt, the profile is anchored by deep, layered toffee and dark caramel notes that lean into decadent dried fruits like figs and raisins. The extended maturation introduces sophisticated oxidative notes of tawny port and sherry, while the barrels contribute distinct layers of charred oak, vanilla, and spirituous warmth. At 14.2% ABV, it presents a viscous, chewy texture with a smooth, lingering heat, balancing its massive malt complexity with a refined, vinous finish.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown with brilliant ruby highlights when held to light. Pours with a thin, fleeting tan head and exhibits thick, viscous legs on the glass due to the high alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich, malt-forward profile featuring dark toffee, toasted bread, and caramel. Pronounced dried fruit esters of plum and raisin are complemented by aged characters of sherry and tobacco. The whisky barrel influence adds clear notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and a smooth spirituous warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is a massive malty sweetness showcasing layers of Best British Malt, including biscuit and deep toffee.
