This imposing Imperial Stout delivers a decadent sensory experience, defined by its maturation in Bulgarian oak and a massive addition of toasted coconut. The aroma is greeted by the bright, berry-like acidity of Ethiopian coffee, which weaves through deep layers of bittersweet chocolate and dark-roasted malts. On the palate, the oak provides a structural backbone of light vanillin and subtle wood tannins, balancing the rich, oily sweetness of the coconut. Despite its formidable 13% alcohol content, the experience remains velvety and harmonious, finishing with a lingering warmth and a complex interplay of charred grain and tropical richness.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40). Pours with a thick, dense, dark tan head that shows moderate retention and leaves significant oily legs on the glass.

Aroma. Intense and complex. Strong notes of dark chocolate and espresso-like Ethiopian coffee dominate, complemented by a heavy toasted coconut presence. Subtle Bulgarian oak adds hints of vanilla and spice, supported by moderate dark fruit esters resembling raisins and plums.

Taste. Rich and multi-layered. Initial impressions of bittersweet chocolate and roasted grain transition into fruity coffee and sweet toasted coconut. The Bulgarian oak provides a drying, woody tannin that cuts through the viscosity. Firm bitterness (approx. 60-70 IBU context) ensures a balanced finish that is moderately sweet but not cloying, with a long aftertaste of cocoa and warmth.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally viscous with a chewy, velvety texture. Low to moderate carbonation. Noticeable and smooth alcohol warmth that is well-integrated given the high gravity.
