Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (SRM 2-4). Brilliant clarity with a still to very faint, quickly dissipating effervescence. No head retention or lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of fresh pear and floral esters. Subtle notes of honey and a faint, pleasant earthiness characteristic of the Stinking Bishop pear variety. Clean fermentation with no acetic or sulfur notes.
Taste. Initial impression is of succulent, ripe pear fruit. A medium sweetness is well-balanced by a soft, refreshing acidity and a light tannic structure. No hop bitterness or malt flavors are present. The finish is clean and fruity with a lingering delicate sweetness and no harsh aftertaste.
