This vibrant Double IPA showcases a modern, double dry-hopped profile bursting with intense aromas driven by Citra and Simcoe hops. Bright waves of sweet tangerine, ripe mango, and passion fruit crash into resinous pine and subtle earthy undertones. The pale gold body supports a high, clean bitterness that is perfectly integrated with a gentle, smooth warmth from the eight percent alcohol. Dry-hopped complexity shines against a subtle, neutral malt backdrop, leaving a crisp, dry finish with lingering tropical and piney notes. It is a powerful yet highly drinkable expression of the style.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper color with a slight, yeast-and-hop-derived haze from the heavy double dry-hopping. Crowned by a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves dense, sticky lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High to intense hop aroma dominated by bright citrus zest, sweet mango, and passion fruit, backed by strong resinous pine, damp earth, and wood. A very low, neutral, grainy-sweet malt character supports the dry-hop assault, accompanied by a clean, light, non-solventy alcohol warmth.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical fruit and orange marmalade flavor quickly transitions to a dominant resinous pine and grapefruit zest character. Moderately high to very high hop bitterness that remains smooth and clean without harshness. Low, unobtrusive pale malt flavor keeps the beer dry, leading into a crisp, highly dry finish with a long-lasting, bitter, and hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. Devoid of harsh hop astringency, featuring a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
