Slow Lane Brewing Botany Weisse

This is Slow Lane’s version of a Berliner Weisse, once the most popular alcoholic drink in Berlin! Staying true to traditional brewing methods, this is a mixed fermentation beer that contains live Lactobacillus souring bacteria and underwent a long secondary fermentation with Brettanomyces (wild yeast). It was not boiled during brewing to emphasize the raw, bready flavour of the German malts. The result is a very pale, refreshingly acidic, and highly effervescent brew with subtle fruity esters.
