This Hazy IPA showcases a vibrant synergy between Mosaic and Motueka hops. Mosaic drives the sensory experience with lush, tropical notes of ripe mango and sweet, candy-like berries. This is balanced by the distinct New Zealand character of Motueka, which contributes bright citrus zest and a subtle, complex herbal undertone. Poured with a signature opacity and a creamy sheen, the beer offers a soft, pillowy texture that carries intense fruity flavors without harsh bitterness. The 6.5% ABV is exceptionally well-integrated, allowing the hop-derived bomb of aromas to lead into a smooth, refreshing finish that defines the style.
Appearance. 4-6 SRM. Pale gold to light orange with a deep, opaque haze. Thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of ripe stone fruit, tropical berries from Mosaic, and a distinct lime-like citrus and herbal spice from Motueka. Background malt is clean, bready, and grainy with no caramel or toastiness. Esters are fruity and supportive.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with mango, blueberry, and lime zest dominant. Malt flavor is low and bready. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low, providing just enough balance against a soft, off-dry finish. Aftertaste is smooth and juicy with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth without any astringency or raw starch character. A light, clean alcohol warmth is present.
