This Hazy IPA presents an immersive sensory experience, utilizing a grist of malted wheat, flaked oats, and flaked wheat to build a pillowy, soft foundation. The aroma is dominated by the intense fruit-forward character of Mosaic Cryo, offering notes of ripe mango and blueberry. Nelson Sauvin introduces a sophisticated layer of crushed white grape and passion fruit, while Motueka adds a bright, zesty lime accent. These elements coalesce into a juicy, multi-dimensional palate with a restrained bitterness that emphasizes hop flavor over sharp edges. The result is a luminous, fruit-saturated ale that showcases vibrant New World hop expression against a bready, cereal-like malt backdrop.
Appearance. Straw to pale orange (4-6 SRM). Opaque with a characteristic hazy glow. Features a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring passion fruit, blueberry, and tropical mango. Distinctive white grape and gooseberry notes are present, complemented by a zesty lime citrus. Background malt is lightly bready and grainy from the wheat and oats. Fermentation is clean and supportive.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical juice and citrus. High hop flavor of mango, lime, and white wine grapes. Malt flavor is low to medium, providing a soft, bready support without caramel or toast. Bitterness is low to medium-low, well-masked by the full body. Finish is smooth and off-dry with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture derived from the flaked grains. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. No astringency or harshness.
