This Hazy IPA showcases the vibrant, tropical terroir of the Southern Hemisphere through an exclusive blend of Rakau and Motueka hops. It pours with a luminous, opaque glow, releasing an intense bouquet of stone fruit and citrus. The sensory profile is defined by distinctive notes of fuzzy peach skin and the herbal brightness of lemon verbena, underpinned by a nostalgia-inducing aroma of ripe Juicy Fruit gum. A soft, pillowy mouthfeel carries these lush fruit flavors across the palate, supported by a restrained bitterness and a clean, grainy malt backbone, finishing with a smooth, lingering tropical sweetness and no harshness.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (4-6 SRM) with a dense, opaque haze and a thick, meringue-like white head that exhibits excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent stone fruit (peach), lime zest, and sweet, bubblegum-like esters. Low bready malt presence with no caramel; clean fermentation profile with subtle tropical esters and no diacetyl.
Taste. Immediate wave of ripe peach and sweet tropical fruit, followed by a refined lemon verbena herbal note. The malt is lightly bready and supportive. Bitterness is low to moderate, well-integrated and never harsh, leading to a smooth, off-dry finish with a lingering tropical fruit character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture and no astringency. Carbonation is moderate. Very light alcohol warmth; smooth and creamy without being cloying or heavy.
